RAVE ON
Starring Marc Robinson & guests
'Rave On – A Tribute To Buddy Holly' was founded in 2005, the first of many shows to be produced by A.M. Productions in partnership with Marc Robinson Productions.
Celebrating the music of Buddy Holly & The Crickets, Marc Robinson and The Counterfeit Crickets provide two hours of pure nostalgia, playing hit after hit, from ‘Blue Days Black Nights’ to ‘True Love Ways’. It's a fun packed, fast moving show, all played in full authentic attire, with Marc himself (complete with those famous horn rimmed glasses and Stratocaster guitar) often being referred to as a true likeness of the real thing!
Marc and his Counterfeit Crickets band members are all long time Buddy Holly fans who enjoy listening to his music at home just as much as they love performing it on stage. However, paying tribute to Buddy all around Great Britain and Europe, and seeing the joy it brings to their audiences year after year, has deepened their respect for him and left them with no doubt that his music is timeless.
Whilst 'Rave On' is pure Buddy Holly, over the years Marc has invited a whole host of guests to appear on stage with him. At various times the show has included tributes to The Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens, The Everley Brothers, Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, Billy Fury, Roy Orbison and Elvis ... and has even included appearances by the man himself, 'Most Popular Male Singer of 1961' - Jess Conrad.
Please check venue websites for details of who will be appearing with Marc in each show.
Will Rock 'n' Roll ever die? - That’ll Be The Day!
